Middle Tennessee State University

Welcome!

At Alpha Delta Pi, we are a sisterhood of friends, a family of individuals, and a home away from home. We embrace every woman's uniqueness, we encourage and support each other's goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women.

A Letter from our President:

Welcome to Alpha Delta Pi! My name is Savannah Lockhart and I am honored to serve as the President of the Epsilon Tau Chapter here at Middle Tennessee State University. I am thrilled to share with you a short snippet of what this chapter has done for me.

I am from Dunlap, Tennessee, which is a tiny town about two hours from Murfreesboro. I was so nervous about moving away from my home, but Epsilon Tau welcomed me with open arms. I will never forget how the women of Alpha Delta Pi made me feel during my weekend of recruitment in 2021. We all know that the process can be intimidating, but these women made me feel safe, heard, and seen. They genuinely wanted to be my friend regardless of whether or not I chose to return to their house the next day. I felt a sense of peace, and a sense of belonging among these women, and because of that, I knew exactly where I belonged.

The women of Alpha Delta Pi have taught me things about myself that I would have never imagined. Once initiated, they encouraged me to run for positions. I have served as our Special Events Chair, Director of Alumnae Engagement, Vice President of Recruitment, and now, President. Looking back to 2021 during recruitment, I would have never guessed that my time in the chapter would have been as amazing as it has been. I have learned new skills, made lifelong friendships, and learned what it truly means to Live For Each Other. I encourage you to choose people to surround you that will push you to become a better version of yourself. College is all about finding who you are, and who you want to be. I owe it all to Epsilon Tau for my achievements, and my deep love for sisterhood.

I am honored to lead such a wonderful group of strong, driven, and talented women. They love everyone they meet full heartedly, and that is a trait that most do not come by often. I am so incredibly proud of this chapter, and I hope you can experience a love like Alpha Delta Pi provides for us one day.

Loyally,

Savannah Lockhart, Chapter President
